A “Dreamy” Night Benefits the Rye Free Reading Room

On Saturday, October 19, 2024, a sold-out evening themed, “It Was All A Dream,” awaited 500 attendees at the Rye Free Reading Room’s tenth biennial Novel Night benefit celebration.

Guests began the evening with costumed dinner parties hosted at ten private Rye homes, with creative themes including “Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse” to “Bridgerton: The Duke and I.” The event concluded with dessert and dancing at the Mamaroneck Beach & Yacht Club. Co-chairs Sam Nagelberg and Sam Manning were proud to announce that this year’s event was the most successful Novel Night ever, raising nearly $160,000. These funds will directly support the Rye Free Reading Room by helping to expand collections, underwrite free children’s programs, add new technology, and other public service initiatives.
