Rye students from 4th grade to 12th grade, and in introductory-level college courses, can get free, online free help from qualified tutors from 2pm - 9pm every day. Online Homework Help, powered by Tutor.com,™ connects students to expert tutors in math, science, social studies, and English via the Internet. Spanish-speaking tutors are available 3-9pm to help students in math and science.
Online Homework Help is Easy to Use
Visit the library’s website between 2pm and 9pm, and click on the Got Homework link to get started. Select a grade level and the subject to be matched to a grade and subject-specific tutor in an online chat environment for one-to-one help. Online homework help draws from a pool of more than 1,800 certified tutors –many of them teachers, college professors or professional tutors – to work with kids when they need help most.
Free Help in Core Subjects
This free service allows students to connect to an expert tutor from anywhere they have access to a computer with Internet access. In just a few minutes, students are connected to a tutor in an Online Classroom for one-to-one help in math (elementary, algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus), science (elementary, earth science, biology, chemistry, physics), social studies (American history, world history, political science), and English (spelling, grammar, essay writing, book reports).
