10:15 AM - 10:35 AM in the Community Meeting Room
“Ellen Watermelon Kaplan”, and “Granny Jean Klein”, both well-versed in early childhood development, introduce babies and toddlers to language, letters, and simple stories through playful rhymes, songs, and puppetry. Parents and caregivers participate with the children at the library and are encouraged to continue the activities at home. Because the program is often a young child’s first experience in an audience setting, it is important that adults strive to arrive on time and actively help children focus on the presentation. Space is limited; please be prepared to enjoy the Children’s Room while waiting for the next session to begin. 20 minutes.
This event sponsored by the Auxiliary Board of the Rye Free Reading Room.
