Butterfield’s Picnic & Book Sale a huge success

Our thanks goes out to everyone in the community who helped make the 2008 Butterfield picnic and annual book sale enjoyable family events!
Everyone had a splendid time pursuing the wide range of books available for sale—including current fiction, informative non-fiction and exciting children’s books, not to mention collectible and rare books—while little ones enjoyed games on the Village Green. Book lovers enhanced their collections with prize purchases and the library raised more than $3000 in needed funds for our collections.
Special thanks go out to the Auxiliary Board for their hard work coordinating Butterfield’s picnic, and to the Chuck Rollins Band for keeping the music playing through the afternoon.
We’re looking forward to pairing Butterfield’s Picnic with the book sale again in 2009, but we need a little while to catch our breath. We expect to start collecting book donations after Labor Day 2008.
