Library Closed on Sundays in 2011
Due to budget cuts
As usual, we are looking forward to serving our patrons with enthusiasm and professionalism in the coming year. But with a cut to funding and already reduced staffing levels, something has to give. To make ends meet and to concentrate our time and energy where demand is greatest, we’ve been forced to eliminate our Sunday hours effective immediately. We will continue, of course, to offer the very best in reference service, computer classes, programming for adults, teens and children, and an extensive book and media collection. And our Museum Pass Program, which provides free admission to cultural institutions in the metropolitan area, is an opportunity that should not be missed. As ever we strive to do well and to always do better, and we welcome your ideas and suggestions for ways we an serve you best. Thank you to all our many patrons who supported us during the City’s long budget process and to the City of Rye for working with us throughout.
